The Salmon season is almost over. September Salmon fishing out of
Glen Arbor wasn’t near as good as years past, due to high winds and
unstable weather patterns.
Perch fishing is really getting
going. Been getting 40 to 50 per trip, and the fish are getter larger
as the weather cools.
I went out myself today and caught 40
perch, most in the 9 to 11 inch range. I had 2 nice Northern Pike on
today. One grabbed a 9 inch perch and swam around with it, in its
mouth for a couple minutes before he spit it out. Talk about a nice
fish. I figure he was between 8 and 10 lbs, the other one grabbed
another perch I was pulling in and cut the hook off.
The fall
perch fishing is just getting started and should be good until Ice up.

Friends, The Watta Bite Charter
Fishing Reports are written by me, Captain Bill. They
are all accounts of my fishing experiences. I will not
use information from other fishermen. I have to know
what's going on before I write, that way you, the customer or
potential customer, have facts to work with when choosing a
charter. -- Captain Bill |
