August 15, 2009 Team Watta Bite
I haven’t written much on the Fishing Report this year. It’s been
pretty self explanatory.
Fishing is excellent out of Glen Arbor. Charter trips are way down.
Less trips along with bad weather days is why we are not showing
pictures every day.
We’ve had great fishing the past few weeks but we need to get off
shore to catch them.
This weekend the Watta Bite Team participated in the Glen Arbor
Salmon tournament. Bill Jr., myself and Jim Hurst, a good friend,
made up the team this year. A big Thunderstorm blew through
overnight, scattering the fish. A southwest wind kicked up and pushed
temp down to 175 ft. Scattered fish, tough seas, running lines deep,
and a heavy current makes for tangled lines and tough fishing. We
managed a first place finish under these conditions.
I would like to congratulate my team on some fine fishing.
Good fishing

Friends, The Watta Bite Charter
Fishing Reports are written by me, Captain Bill. They
are all accounts of my fishing experiences. I will not
use information from other fishermen. I have to know
what's going on before I write, that way you, the customer or
potential customer, have facts to work with when choosing a
charter. -- Captain Bill |
